Sage hired Waters Productions to provide a fluid Audio Visual system

Waters Productions - November 2, 2016

Prior to the UK’s withdrawal from the European Union, otherwise known as “Brexit”, Sage held a debate at The Shard in London. To make the debate a success, Sage hired Waters Productions to provide a fluid Audio Visual system that enabled guests to vote on polls live from the room.

After meeting with Sage to discuss the requirements we got to work on designing an AV system to meet the requirements of the debate, which included a full voting system and live twitter feeds on the day.

To enable guests to vote effortlessly, we provided voting pads for all delegates. Two live twitter feeds were projected onto large screens either side of the panel. As per the company’s requests, in the centre of the room the Sage logo was projected onto another screen.

The panel team was equipped with a total of 6 lapel microphones and the guests with 2 wireless handheld microphones to ensure as communication was made it would be audible to the audience. In addition to two camera operators, we provided two technicians, one for audio and another for visual.

The filming crew captured the event in high definition and a branded live stream which  was broadcasted to over 400 live viewers was designed so that people who couldn’t make the event could still watch the debate from the comfort of their own home and get involved through the live twitter feed.

As the event proved to be a success, Waters Productions were invited to follow up with a repeat of the event at the Sage Gateshead venue the next month.
