The Institute of Hospitality was established in the 1930’s and has since grown to accommodate memberships from over 100 countries worldwide. This year, the company held their successful “Passion 4 Hospitality” student event at the Novotel London West hotel. The IoH approached Waters Productions to design and implement an Audio Visual system that would be bigger and better than last year.

Waters Productions accessed the venue the night before

As the Institute of Hospitality’s regular supplier for this event, our team could easily visualise the organiser’s requirements. Due to the early start of the event we accessed the venue the night before to work our magic and create a fully lit, white panel set including stage and back projection.

The team worked together to delegate tasks

Our company understands the importance of team work. We have a relationship that enables us to work efficiently and quickly. From accessing the venue to complete setup and sound check the Audio Visual was ready for the following Monday within just two hours.

The process involved considering speaker placement and regulating frequencies. In large reflective rooms it can often be difficult to ensure a feedback free environment that presenters can speak in without fear of sudden and unwanted noises.

Our white panel Art Deco set met the client’s needs perfectly, filling the space at the front of the room with a large stage complete with lectern, panel tables and a less formal discussion area. The client also requested a top table with 6 microphones and wireless lapel microphones for each presenter.

We installed a large projector screen with back projection in the center of the set to ensure the presentation was visible to all guests. Spotlights and baton uplighters created a sense of atmosphere and providing a brilliant white backdrop for the presenters and panelists to make their mark in front of.

The result was spectacular

A technician attended to make sure everything ran smoothly, keeping all microphones under control and providing excellent audio clarity. The result impressed guests and pleased the organisers of the event.
