The Mail and Express delivery show is held annually in London and showcases new developments and technologies in the delivery business sector. The event had guest speakers from companies such as Royal Mail, Whistl (formerly TNT) and Tuffnells.
Following the success of 2015’s event in the Auditorium at Olympia, Hammersmith, Waters Productions were invited back to provide Audio Visual services for the 2016 event held at the Novotel West, London.
With the Novotel being a smaller venue than Olympia, Waters Productions had the challenge of creating the same impact as the last years event, but in a smaller footprint. After a site visit to see the room in which the show would take place, we got to work with designing an excellent Audio Visual solution.
The event was formed of a panel discussion with 6 presenters per session, followed by a question and answer session between the guests and the presenters. As there were 200 guests, we needed to ensure the presentation was easily visible to everyone attending. 55” plasma screens were installed either side of a large projector screen and set that was custom-built by Waters Productions.
We installed a full audio rig to ensure the presenters were audible from all positions in the room and the lectern and top-tables were equipped with goose-neck microphones for a pure audio signal. Wireless lapel microphones were also provided to enable presenters to move freely around the stage and without any limitations.
As an addition, two wireless handheld microphones were passed throughout the audience for the Q&A session, projectors were rigged in two breakout rooms and as part of the service a photographer provided by Waters Productions was present to capture the day’s events.
